With over twenty-five years of experience across Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and the United States, she partners with Fortune 500 companies, high-growth firms, boards, and senior leadership teams navigating transformation, leadership transitions, and organisational change.

“Ruchira’s book Coaching: The Secret Code to Uncommon Leadership is a clear and crisp guide to a core element of strong leadership: helping others up their game.”

— Sheryl Sandberg, Former COO of Meta

Her thought leadership has been featured in Harvard Business Review, where her research on the 4 Styles of Coaching — and When to Use Them was published in March 2025. This framework is now taught in Harvard Business School’s leadership certification programme. Her proprietary 4C+ Framework — exploring how leaders build clarity, confidence, consciousness, and a culture of leadership — is used in executive classrooms and boardrooms worldwide.

Ruchira serves as affiliate faculty at leading global business schools, including her alma mater the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, IMD, the National University of Singapore, and Singapore Management University, where she teaches leadership, governance, organisational transformation, strategic decision-making, and conflict management.

Her clients and collaborators include Brunswick Group, the Gates Foundation, Asian Development Bank, Estée Lauder, Credit Suisse, DSV, Charles & Keith, and other global institutions. She has also worked alongside leading consulting and advisory firms including Heidrick & Struggles, Boston Consulting Group, Aberkyn (a McKinsey company), and Kearney on transformation initiatives.

She is the co-founder and CEO of the Uncommon Leadership Academy (ULA), a pioneering platform that translates the research and frameworks from her book into highly acclaimed leadership workshops and structured e-learning programmes designed to develop leaders as coaches and multipliers.

During her corporate career, Ruchira held senior leadership roles at Medtronic, AIG, Ooredoo (Qatar Telecom), Telstra International, and Tata Consultancy Services — building deep expertise in business transformation, post-merger integration, organisational redesign, and cross-cultural leadership across diverse markets.

She serves on the Board of Directors at Chicago Global, contributing expertise in strategy, governance, and leadership development. As former Board President of the American School of Bombay, she led governance reform and institutional renewal that received international recognition.

A recipient of multiple leadership honours, including being named a Top Woman Leader (2021) and receiving the Woman of Excellence Award (2022), Ruchira specialises in helping senior leaders become force multipliers — leaders who not only perform at the highest level but elevate others as they rise.

She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a concentration in strategy, a master’s degree in communications management, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Delhi. She is fluent in English and Hindi, and conversational in French and Arabic.
